At the Museu de Alberto Sampaio, a show entitled “Alma Lusa” revealed fashion creations of the graduated students in Fashion Design and Marketing
On the 3rd July, the Alberto Sampaio Museum, in Guimarães, served as runway for the presentation of the final projects of the 1st cycle degree in Fashion Design and Marketing. “Alma Lusa” (Lusa soul) was the main theme of the project, which led to five different collections “Farol, Meu Farol”, “Reminiscentia”, “Connection”, “A Saudade” and “Incógnita”.
The event, produced by students of the master programme in Fashion Design and Communication, results from the final project of the “Project in Fashion Design and Communication II” curricular unit. The goal is that the students put the theoretical knowledge acquired throughout the year into practice, aiming at producing a fashion event.
The 1st cycle degree in Fashion Design and Marketing aims at training designers specialized in textile and apparel products, which are also able to conceive high added value products regarding their innovation and creativity, dully directed to demanding market segments or market-target niches. The master programme in Fashion Design and Communication includes and combines graphic design and multimedia and fashion merchandising. The programme aims at developing skills for professionals in fashion design, communication design, fashion merchandising, media, among others.
