The paper entitled "Variable Neighbourhood Search for the Elementary Shortest Path Problem with Loading Constraints" received the award. The goal of the developed work is the integrated optimization of transport operations through efficient algorithms.
The paper was presented during the "International Conference on Computational Science and Its Applications (ICCSA 2015)", which took place in Banff, Alberta, Canada, from the 22nd to the 25th June. More than 220 papers were presented in the conference, attended by representatives from several countries.
Telmo Pinto, student of the Doctoral Programme in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, is currently completing his PhD project entitled "Models and advanced optimization algorithms for the integrated management of logistics operations", under the supervision of Professor Cláudio Alves and Professor José Valério de Carvalho, both from the Department of Production and Systems of the EEUM.
